Company Presentation

The SAQ is a public company whose mandate is to trade alcoholic beverages. Its mission is to serve the people of all regions of Quebec by offering a wide variety of quality products.

Project Scope

The project concerns the migration of the major IP telephony infrastructure (from 4.x to 7.x) without any major interruption of service for users.
The cross compatibility of various components of the solution is the main challenge of this project, once one of all the components has been migrated, a small incompatibility with the rest of the solution could mean a lot of trouble.
Advance Network Services provides project management and technical services of the IPT migration including the development of the methodology required to meet the customer’s needs.
The entire project is documented and the staff will be trained in the SAQ new features.

Approach implementation

To ensure the migration of this solution without interrupting service, AVANCE Network Services has implemented an innovative methodology. This method is based on the cloning of parts of the IP telephony solution so that all the intervention required on the sites of the SAQ would correspond with the maintenance time window in the standards of the SAQ. Emphasis was also placed on the concept of support and partnership with the teams of the SAQ.

Scope of the project

The project includes 17 major phases with a budget of approximately $ 500 000.

Testimonies

Following the attribution of the mandate of updating the Cisco IP telephony system of the SAQ, the ASR team did an outstanding job so far. Indeed, monitoring, attention to detail in planning and execution, professionalism, strategy used and knowledge of areas of expertise are very satisfactory and we hope that this level of satisfaction will continue until at the end of the term
