This course focuses on the safety of local networks. Participants will acquire the required expertise for the administration and implementation of Cisco ASA firewalls.
Requirements :
1) Completion ICND1 and ICND2 courses, or have equivalent skills.
2) Be comfortable with the configuration of Cisco routers and switches.

1) Understand the issues related to network security.
2) Configure, optimize and support the Cisco ASA firewalls.

Course outline :

Configure the ASA to ensure secure connectivity. (ASDM, CLI, NAT, Static, ACL)

| Module 2 | Configure and verify routing and switching in the ASA. (Routing, VLAN’s) |
| Module 3 | Configure and verify AAA services (Authentication, Authorization & Accounting) in the SAA. (ACS, Auth-Proxy) |
| Module 4 | Configure and verify the inspection protocol layers 3 and 4, the political modular threat detection in the ASA. |
| Module 5 | Configure and verify secure connectivity using VPNs. (IPsec VPN, SSL VPN) |
| Module 6 | Configure and verify failover in the ASA. (active / standby, active / active) |
| Module 7 | Configure the ASA in transparent firewall and virtual firewall. |
| Module 8 |
Management and monitoring of ASA. (Update, backup, restore, license, SSH, Telnet, logging)

The course is given in 35 hours at 7 hours per day.
The course includes a theoretical part and a practical portion in the laboratory.
